Southwest apologizes for delays, cancellations, blames technology issues

Southwest Airways flights have been delayed and canceled early Saturday early morning. 

In a statement to Fox Company, the airline cited “intermittent effectiveness issues subsequent plan right away maintenance of some of [its] backend technological know-how.”

“We provide heartfelt apologies to our shoppers for any inconvenience, and gratitude to our workers who are functioning diligently to make it up to them,” the airline wrote. “We’ll carry on to update clients whose journey with us now might be delayed as outcome of the now-solved difficulties.”

Flight tracker FlightAware showed a lot more than a thousand delayed flights on Southwest shortly soon after 9 a.m. ET, with 179 cancellations.
